Jemma is a Senior Fundraising Consultant who has amassed over a decade of experience in strategic communications and fundraising across various organisations.

Her passion for not-for-profits led her from PR agency Glass Tower, Kidsfirst Kindergartens and GirlGuiding New Zealand. After supporting the Girl-Led Strategy implementation, she moved to Ronald McDonald House South Island in 2016, where she oversaw diverse revenue streams, implemented fundraising strategies, managed a successful capital campaign, and led a team through the challenges of COVID-19.

She has also consulted and provided strategic support to non-profits such as Banqer, a financial education social enterprise, and has coached altMBA workshops, developing leadership skills for professionals worldwide. Jemma is a Trustee with Bowel Cancer New Zealand.

Joining The Fundraising Agency (formerly Barrer & Co) in 2022, Jemma became the first General Manager in 2023, streamlining operations while maintaining high standards of client deliverables. Now returning to her roots as a Senior Fundraising Consultant, Jemma works directly with clients whilst concurrently undertaking speaking and governance roles.
