Emily Murdoch

Fundraising Consultant

Emily is a Fundraising Consultant with extensive experience across the non-profit sector in New Zealand. Over the years, she has built a solid track record of delivering impactful fundraising campaigns, strengthening donor relationships, and enhancing marketing strategies to drive revenue and engagement.

After completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Public Health & Health Education at the University of Canterbury, Emily began her career at Cancer Society of New Zealand, where she focused on developing community-based fundraising initiatives and leading regional campaigns. Her role involved fostering community engagement and spearheading digital marketing strategies, which significantly expanded the Society’s reach and fundraising efforts.

Emily later joined Ronald McDonald House Charities® NZ as Campaign Executive, overseeing the delivery of national campaigns and working closely with corporate partners and donors to optimise brand visibility and revenue opportunities. This role allowed her to further develop expertise in donor stewardship, marketing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Now, as a Fundraising Consultant at The Fundraising Agency, Emily leverages her extensive experience in the non-profit sector to support clients around Aotearoa. She specialises in providing strategic advice, creating tailored fundraising plans, and helping organisations achieve sustainable growth through effective fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies.
